Pacific Interiors London Ltd is now under new ownership.
|
The business has recently been bought, and recapitalised, by International entrepreneur, Paul Dass. His plans are to expand the Pacific Interiors brand both domestically and internationally, and to build on Pacific Interior’s thirty year history. Pacific Interiors Will also take advantage of the growth of business between India, the UK, and the West. The recent acquisition by Tata companies (part of India's most illustrious business grouping) of Corus and also Jaguar Land Rover are just examples of what, we believe, is going to become a major economic trend.
Paul has had a long, and very successful career in design, fashion, and real estate. Paul is the founder, and majority shareholder, of Mayaland Hotels in India. He has been the driving force behind the terrific growth of Pacific India (PacificIN), that started life as a joint venture with Pacific Interiors less than two years ago. PacificIN is now leading some of the most prestigious fit-out and design and build projects in India, including multi-million pound projects for a new members club in Mumbai, new offices for one of India's top law firms, and a new headquarters building for a leading Indian telecoms/IT company.
Howard Stocks, one of the original Directors of Pacific Interiors, has been retained to head up Pacific Interiors London Ltd. They continue to operate from its head-office in Holborn.
Pacific Interiors London Ltd have now successfully completed Projects for Babcock International, EDF Trading and Springer Publishing. Our Small works Team are carrying on out various projects for new and existing clients
We would be delighted to talk to you about your current plans, your plans for the future, to continue old relationships, and to establish new ones.
We believe that this new ownership will bring to Pacific Interiors London Ltd and PacificIN a very exciting future. Bringing the business’s together will create new vigour and direction for the Pacific Interiors Brand. The Pacific team, look forward to working very closely with you and your colleagues.

Pacific Interiors have successfully passed the external phase 1 and 2 audits under the ISO 14001:2004 requirements.
It is becoming more and more apparent that “green” solutions to office interior fit out have positive business implications. But what are they? Can deciding to “go green” really be cost effective? The answer is definitely yes. It is important to realise sustainable solutions should not mean more expense, this is actually a contradiction in terms. Cost effectiveness is an element of sustainable solutions.
Implementing a good sustainable fit-out methodology from the start and knowing where to find the right products and services is key. Finding environmentally sound solutions without compromising on quality or price is essential. Over the last ten months, the Pacific Environmental Management System has been created, amended, reviewed, amended, audited internally, externally and amended again! The audits took place over three days, our documents, departmental procedures, site works, intentions and attitudes toward the environment were reviewed and documented. In the end, the system received recommendation from the BSI auditor for Certification to ISO 14001:2004 as well as a comment from the auditor that we had done a good job!
We are well on our way to incorporating environmentally sensitive, sustainable solutions for our business and our projects which will continue to bring benefits now and on into the future.
Doosan Power Systems Win
Pacific Interiors have recently won our largest job to date a 130,000 square foot design and build contract for Doosan Power Systems.
Doosan Power Systems designs, supplies and constructs advanced steam generation technology for the power industry. They develop some of the cleanest, most efficient coal-powered plant in the world. Doosan Power Systems is also a leading energy services company operating in the thermal power, nuclear, oil & gas and petrochemical industries. Through their innovation they support and enhance the service life of energy assets across the world. With global headquarters in the UK, Doosan Power Systems employs around 5,000 personnel.
The project entails a large corporate HQ for Doosan Power Systems as well as some technical infrastructure such as a data centre for their UK operations.
Pacific introduced a Site Waste Management Plans for Brooke House, a high 80% recycling rate was projected, 17 weeks into the project and the recycling rate was an outstanding 95%.
The government strategy for Sustainable Construction aims for a 50% reduction of construction, demolition and evacuation waste to landfill by 2012. By any comparison, the Pacific figures far exceed official aims.
We look forward to updating you on this project further, upon it’s completion in August.
The Great Pacific Cycle and BBQ
On Saturday, June 12, the first Great Pacific Cycle and BBQ was held along the river Thames in the beautiful village of Hurley just east of Henley on Thames.
16 cyclists braved 100km in the Chiltern Hills for the Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund charity drive. The cyclists, other Pacifians, suppliers and friends helped raise £4,300.00, and still counting.
Gemma Dixon, Maxine Eldret and Gemma Montgomery provided excellent support for the riders around the course and our very own Howard Stocks put on a fantastic BBQ for everyone.
We couldn’t have hoped for better weather and the countryside was something to behold – sort of took the riders minds off the hills!
The riders were: Mike Linforth, Katie and Gerald Bartlett, Claire Elliott, Nic Pryke, Amanda Hutchison, Paul Atkinson and his friend Helen, Callum Donaldson, Gemma M’s friends Wendy and Richard, Paige Hodsman and her friend Bernard, support riders Mike and Jonathan and Charlie O’Brien from Doosan Babcock. Well done everyone!
